The Villa of Mysteries is a huge 90-room mansion near Pompeii, Italy. Along with the rest of Pompeii, it was buried in ash from the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD79. More about all that in the next book, if I ever get the chance to write it. For now here are some pictures of its amazing frescoes.
