Lesson Plan for Clothing and Make-up

Draw an Egyptian

A fun and easy activity for children of all ages is to draw an Egyptian, wearing the clothing, wigs, jewellery and make-up they have seen in the workshop. You may want them to use pictures from books or from my website. This activity would go well with the further research on my website. I would recommend they also add some notes to the drawing about the various items worn. They could also cut out coloured paper shapes instead of drawing.

You could make a display with all these pictures, with an Egyptian town, or temple, or a banquet, as a backdrop. Perhaps some more able children could be given the job of making the backdrop.
